The mission of the Flomaton Public Library is to provide free information and open access to the information, materials, and services they need for life-long learning in a variety of formats and technologies. The library will seek to provide printed information and updated technology resources that will support the needs of the community.
Board meetings are held quarterly in the Library's meeting room at 1:00 p.m. on the second Thursday in January, April, July and October. Rescheduling is necessary from time to time. You may call (251) 296-3552 to confirm the meeting or check the bulletin board inside the library.
Over the years, Flomaton has benefited from its status as a rail center. It serves
as a gateway to the Gulf Coast and continues to progress from development of
its natural resources, namely timber, sand, gravel, oil, and natural gas.
